Equipment
It is important that all ARES/RACES members maintain a ready kit containing those items that they would use during disaster operations.

The ready kit may be prepacked or may be made up at the time of a standby notice.  It is important to maintain an inventory of those items that would go into the ready kit and have tose materials nearby.  During the beginnings of a disaster is not the time to go out and buy items you might need.

Go to the Operating Aids page for suggestion for a ready kit.  The ready kit should include radio equipment and antennas, power for your equipment, personal supplies for the duration of your deployment.
